Which Jackery this is: model JE-1500C

The Amazon listing is sold by Jackery Inc and gives the model and part number JE-1500C. Jackery's product page prints JE-1500C in the Model row of its Tech Specs, and the cover of Jackery's user manual reads Model: JE-1500C, so the listing and the maker documents agree on the code. The listing's UPC is not among the barcodes in the product data embedded in Jackery's page, which is why the code, not the barcode, is the identity check here.

1,536Wh, 1,800W and what the outlets take

Jackery's Tech Specs and manual list a 30Ah, 51.2V battery of 1,536Wh with LiFePO4 cells and 4,000 cycles to 70% or more capacity. AC output is three 120V, 60Hz outlets with 1,800W rated in total, 2,000W for up to 15 minutes at most and a 3,600W surge peak; Jackery's page says the peak lasts 5 seconds, and the manual gives no duration.

The ports are one USB-C at up to 100W, one USB-C at up to 30W, one USB-A at up to 18W and a 12V, 10A car port. The unit weighs about 38.6 pounds and measures 13.2 by 10.4 by 11.6 inches. Jackery lists Bluetooth and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for its app, and the manual says Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switch off if the app is not connected within 2 hours of power-on. Our arithmetic: 1,536Wh at a steady 1,800W is about 51 minutes before conversion losses, so runtime depends on the load.

Charging by wall, solar or car

Jackery's page gives about 1.5 hours for a full AC charge from a wall outlet drawing up to 15A at 100-120V, and says solar charging can take as little as 2.5 hours at up to 800W. Its footnote gives full-charge times of about 2.7 hours with four 200W panels, 5.5 hours with two and 11 hours with one. It gives about 3 hours from a vehicle alternator, with the alternator charger and car-charging accessories sold separately; the manual adds that the car charging cable is not included.

There are two DC8020 inputs, each taking 16-60V at up to 12A, or up to 24A and 800W when doubled. The manual says one DC8020 port can take at most two panels, that both ports should carry the same input voltage, and not to charge from a car charger and a solar panel at the same time. Charging is allowed from 32°F to 113°F, and output is limited to 1,000W between 5°F and 14°F.

IP65 on the spec line, indoor use in the safety pages

Jackery's page and the listing advertise IP65 dust and water protection, and the manual's specification table lists IP65 with all lids closed. Jackery's FAQ says the rating applies when every port cover is secured, and to keep the unit sheltered from direct rain when ports are in use.

The manual's symbol page, however, carries a notice that the device is intended for indoor use only, to be placed in a similar indoor environment when used outdoors such as in an RV, tent or cabin, that it is not waterproof or dustproof, and to keep it away from rain and humid environments. The two statements sit in the same Jackery document, so treat the outdoor claims cautiously and ask Jackery which one governs your use.

A 20 ms switchover is not a zero-break UPS

With the station plugged into a wall outlet and its AC output on, Jackery says it switches to battery power within 20 ms if the grid fails. The manual states that the product does not support 0 ms switching, not to connect equipment that needs an uninterrupted supply such as data servers or workstations, and to test compatibility with a device several times and to connect one device at a time.

The manual also says peak output in this pass-through mode reaches 1,440W before an outage and returns to the rated figure during one. Jackery's FAQ says its stations are not recommended for medical devices, life-support equipment or business-critical equipment such as data servers, and advises anyone with an implanted pacemaker or other implanted medical device not to use the product.

Warranty, registration and storage

The manual gives a standard warranty of 36 months, plus 2 more years when the product is registered online or through Jackery's customer service team. It says the warranty is offered only to customers who buy from Jackery's official website, Jackery-branded third-party platforms or local authorized dealers, and that the battery cells are covered only if you fully charge them within seven days of purchase and at least once every 6 months after. Jackery's page instead says the 3 years plus 2 extra years is exclusive to jackery.com, so ask Jackery whether this Amazon offer qualifies for the extension.

For storage the manual asks for a dry, ventilated place and says a unit left empty for 3 to 6 months may become unchargeable. It recommends checking and recharging every three months and doing a full charge and discharge cycle at least once every 6 to 12 months. It also says to keep 30 cm of clearance on both sides of the unit and to leave the vents uncovered.
