What MI-18121 is

MI-18121 is the black-base version of Mount-It!'s dual motor electric standing desk with a 60 inch tabletop; the same page lists MI-18125 as the hazelnut version. Mount-It!'s specification block gives two motors, a two-stage leg design, three memory settings and a black base.

The top is MDF, 60 by 29.5 inches and one inch thick according to Mount-It!, with a bevelled front edge and a cut-out. The Amazon listing describes it as a one-piece top and lists a lifetime warranty in its warranty field.

Height range and what two stages mean

Mount-It! and the Amazon listing both give a height range of 29.3 to 48.2 inches and a speed of one inch per second. The maker specifies two-stage legs, and neither source says whether the range is measured with or without the one-inch top.

Measure your seated elbow height against the 29.3 inch minimum before ordering, especially if you type directly on the desk surface without a keyboard tray, and check the 48.2 inch maximum against your standing elbow height as well.

Weight capacity includes the top

Mount-It! lists a weight capacity of 220 pounds including the tabletop, and the Amazon details table also gives 220 pounds. Because the MDF top counts toward that figure, the load left for monitors, arms and a computer is lower than 220 pounds by the weight of the top itself, which neither source states.

Mount-It! says the desk is designed to meet or exceed the ANSI/BIFMA standard; we did not verify testing and do not rely on it. The warranty page lists overloading among the ways a product can be improperly operated and therefore excluded from coverage.

Controls and anti-collision

Mount-It! describes a touch control panel with three memory settings for preferred sitting and standing heights, and a built-in anti-collision system that stops the desk hitting objects while it moves up or down. The Amazon listing's height-positions field also shows three.

We could not read the linked base manual, so we cannot tell you how to set the presets, adjust collision sensitivity, reset the controller or what error codes mean. Mount-It!'s page says a product-specific installation PDF is included in the box.

Assembly: what the maker promises

Mount-It! says all required hardware and tools are included. It does not say whether the top is pre-drilled for the frame, so keep a drill available in case the in-box instructions call for pilot holes.

The product page's base manual link opens a file titled for SKU MI-8034 rather than MI-18121. The page does not explain the difference between the two numbers. Keep the in-box instructions and ask Mount-It! support if the frame and top holes do not line up.

Lifetime limited warranty, with conditions

Mount-It!'s warranty page describes a lifetime limited warranty from the date of purchase covering defects in material or workmanship under normal use. It applies only to products bought from Mount-It! or its authorised dealers and shipped within the United States, and the Amazon listing's warranty field says lifetime.

Exclusions include incorrect assembly, mishandling and overloading, purchases without proof of purchase or from unauthorised sellers, items not identifiable by serial number, free products, and non-quality issues raised more than thirty days after purchase. Check that the Amazon seller is authorised before relying on the warranty.
