The NBF50400 is the pitcher-only nutribullet blender: a 1200W base, 64-ounce pitcher with integrated blade, vented lid and tamper. Its guide requires liquid in every recipe and rules out ice crushing and dry grinding, and the maker's hot-liquid FAQ contradicts the manual's lid-cap instruction.

This is the pitcher-only version, not the combo with cups
The Amazon listing sells model NBF50400, and nutribullet's own 1200W blender page shows that SKU only after you switch its Version selector from the default Blender Combo to the plain Blender option. The combo is a separate SKU that adds single-serve cups; this box is built around one 64-ounce pitcher.
nutribullet lists the NBF50400 contents as the 1200W motor base, the 64-ounce pitcher, a pitcher lid with lid cap, a tamper and a recipe book. The listing names the same items. The user guide's own contents page shows the pitcher with an integrated blade, motor base, lid with vented lid cap and tamper, and does not mention the recipe book.
Because the blade is built into the pitcher, there is no separate blade assembly and no personal cup to blend in. If single-serve cups are the reason you are shopping, this configuration does not include them, and the guide warns that the pitcher is specific to the exact model when you order replacement parts.
Controls: three speeds and a pulse, with no timed program
The user guide describes a POWER button plus LOW, MED, HIGH and PULSE. nutribullet's page says three precision speeds plus a pulse function, and the listing bullet says the same. Amazon's details table lists the number of speeds as four and names the same four buttons, LOW, MED, HIGH and PULSE.
According to the guide, when you blend in the pitcher a selected speed keeps running until you press it again or press POWER. PULSE runs only while you hold it down. The guide says not to use PULSE with hot ingredients, so keep that button for ingredients that are not hot.
Neither the NBF50400 guide nor the Blender version of the product page describes an automatic program, so plan to stop each blend yourself, either by pressing the selected speed again or by pressing POWER.
Hot soup: the maker's FAQ and the manual disagree about the lid cap
nutribullet's product page says the vented pitcher can handle hot foods, and its FAQ tells you to remove the small lid cap from the top before blending hot liquids. The NBF50400 user guide says the opposite: attach the pitcher lid with the vented lid cap inserted and locked before blending anything hot.
The guide also says to keep hot ingredients below the MAX lines, start on LOW, and never add items through the vent hole while blending hot food. We cannot tell you which document nutribullet intends to be current.
Before you blend anything warm, read the Important Safeguards section and the Getting started page of the NBF50400 user guide and follow those, or call nutribullet customer service to confirm. This page does not reproduce the full safety text, and the product FAQ sits on a page shared with the combo model.
Always add liquid, and it is not sold as an ice crusher
The user guide states that this blender is not intended to be used without liquids or as an ice crusher, and tells you to always add liquid to your recipe. It also says not to grind dry ingredients such as grains, cereal or coffee.
The product page FAQ answers yes to crushing ice, but adds that you should include some liquid and stay below the maximum capacity line. Read together, both documents expect liquid in the pitcher; neither supports running the machine on ice or dry grain without liquid.
The pitcher has two MAX lines: the higher one is for solid ingredients and the lower one is for liquids. The guide says to keep hot ingredients below those lines, and to use only the tamper provided if ingredients need pushing down.
Size, weight and counter placement are stated differently
Amazon's listing gives the unit as 7.75 by 8.07 by 16.98 inches and 7.14 pounds. nutribullet's page for the NBF50400 lists dimensions of 16.4 by 14.3 by 12.3 inches and a weight of 8.78 pounds, without saying whether those are boxed or unboxed figures.
Neither source explains the difference, so confirm the height with nutribullet before you count on the blender fitting under your wall cabinets. nutribullet gives the cord length as 29.5 inches, so the outlet needs to be close to where the base will sit.
The guide says to seat the pitcher with the handle to the right of the control panel, never toward the back, and suggests left-handed users face the handle toward the centre.
Cleaning and the one-year warranty conditions
The NBF50400 guide says the pitcher is dishwasher-safe but must never go through a sanitize cycle, and it may also be washed by hand. The tamper is hand-wash only, and the motor base is wiped with a damp cloth and never submerged. For dried residue it describes a short blend of water and a little dish soap on LOW.
nutribullet warrants the product against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from original retail purchase, in the country of purchase, for the original consumer only. You need the receipt and the serial number from under the motor base, and shipping and processing fees are yours to pay.
The warranty is void for commercial or institutional use and excludes normal wear, misuse, improper maintenance, modification and use with a plug adapter or voltage converter. The guide also says the cord is not replaceable, and that using an adapter or converter voids the warranty, so plan to plug it straight into a standard outlet.
