Four 1080P cameras from a front unit and a rear camera

The listing's model name is D90-4CH-128GB, and PRUVEEO's store lists a product under the same name with SKU D904CH-128GB. PRUVEEO's manual for the D90-4CH says all four cameras record at 1920x1080. Its package drawing shows the dash cam, a separate rear camera, a suction cup and adhesive mount, a car power connector, a micro SD card, an electrostatic sticker and a cable tool.

PRUVEEO's product text says the front unit records ahead and to the sides, with two cabin-facing cameras that can be turned left and right to change what they record. The listing describes the same idea as adjusting the front three cameras. Expect to spend time angling those lenses after mounting, and check the screen before driving.

A 128GB card is listed, and the ceiling is 256GB

The Amazon listing gives a 128GB card as included and 256GB as the maximum. PRUVEEO's manual says the camera takes micro SD cards from 32GB to 256GB, formatted as FAT32 in the camera before use, and warns that generic Class 10 cards are not designed for four-channel recording. The device drawing marks the slot U3 V30 speed.

The manual asks you to switch the camera off before inserting or removing a card, and to reformat at least once a month or every time you copy videos to a computer. It notes that the manufacturer's warranty does not cover data lost through user actions, so copy anything important promptly.

Parking recording needs the ACC hardwire kit

The manual says the camera switches to parking mode automatically when the engine turns off only with PRUVEEO's ACC hardwire kit, which is sold separately. It offers two parking options, a one-frame-per-second time-lapse and G-sensor event recording, and PRUVEEO recommends the time-lapse option. Time-lapse files are saved without sound in the normal video folder.

PRUVEEO suggests high G-sensor sensitivity while parked but low sensitivity if you do not use parking mode, because otherwise the camera may lock so many clips that the card fills and recording stops. It also says to switch time-lapse off when not using parking monitoring, or driving video will come out in fast-forward.

No battery, and a 15°F to 150°F rating

The manual says the D90-4CH has no built-in battery and must always be connected to a 5V supply. It expects the car's cigarette-lighter socket to lose power with the ignition off, which is how the camera starts and stops with the engine. The listing's feature field also names a built-in supercapacitor.

The manual's safety pages recommend use and storage between 15°F and 150°F with humidity from 10 to 80 percent, and say to let an overheated unit cool before use. Neither the listing nor PRUVEEO's product text gives a separate operating range, so treat the manual figure as the only stated limit.

Wi-Fi reach is short and GPS needs sky

Wi-Fi is switched on by holding OK for about three seconds. The manual gives 12345678 as the password, names GFG CAM as the phone app, and says the effective Wi-Fi distance is five metres. GPS tracks show only after a video is downloaded to the phone.

The manual notes that GPS struggles indoors and offers speed units of km/h, mph or off. Infrared lights for the cabin cameras have an Auto setting, which the manual recommends, so the two cabin views keep recording at night without you changing anything.

Warranty length is only stated on the listing

Amazon's warranty field says two years. The manual pages we read do not state a warranty length; they say modifications can void the warranty, that servicing should go to an authorized PRUVEEO service center, and that lost data is not covered. We found no warranty page on pruveeo.com, so confirm terms with the seller before buying.

PRUVEEO publishes two manuals for this family, one for the D90-4CH and one for a Type-C version, and the listing does not say which port your unit has. We read the D90-4CH manual. If your camera has a USB-C power port, check the Type-C manual on PRUVEEO's download page for any differences.
