Vitamix Venturist Pro, 64 oz Low-Profile Container, Black (Renewed)
Buyers who want a renewed Vitamix with a timer and a 17-inch low-profile setup, and who will confirm the reconditioner
This renewed Venturist Pro uses the same number, 075698, as Vitamix's Certified Reconditioned SKU, but the listing does not say who reconditioned it. Vitamix's documents describe a 120 V, 12 A base with variable speed, Pulse and a count-up timer, and a 64 oz low-profile container that keeps it 17 inches tall. Legacy C and G Series containers and the Personal Cup Adapter do not fit. Vitamix's 5-year reconditioned warranty applies to its Certified Reconditioned product, so confirm that with the seller.

A renewed listing that does not name its reconditioner
The listing title marks this Venturist Pro as Renewed, with model and part number 075698 and UPC 659680641500. Vitamix sells a Certified Reconditioned Venturist Pro whose product page lists the same SKU, 075698, and whose owner's manual is headed Certified Reconditioned. The listing itself does not use the words Certified Reconditioned and does not say who reconditioned the unit. Its description calls it a Vitamix Renewed Premium Venturist Pro, and its warranty field describes a 5-year full warranty covering parts, labor and return shipping both ways.
Vitamix's What comes in the box list is the Venturist Pro blender base, a 64-ounce Low-Profile container with SELF-DETECT, and an S2 Low-Profile tamper. Amazon's list is the motor base, the 64-ounce Low Profile container with 2-part lid, and the Low-Profile tamper.
Everything below that comes from Vitamix's page and manual describes Vitamix's Certified Reconditioned product. Before buying, ask the seller to confirm in writing that the unit is Vitamix Certified Reconditioned; if they cannot, do not assume the Vitamix warranty in the last section applies. The manual also says the Venturist Pro is for household use only, and its warranty excludes commercial, rental and resale use.
Size and power: a 17-inch low-profile setup
The manual gives the height with the 64-ounce container on the base as 17.0 inches, width 8.0 inches and depth 11.0 inches. Vitamix's page gives the product dimensions as 10.5 by 8 by 17 inches, so the depth differs by half an inch between the two Vitamix documents. Measure the space under your wall cabinets against the 17-inch figure before buying.
Electrical ratings are 120 V, 50 to 60 Hz and 12 A in both Vitamix documents; the page adds 2.2 HP. Amazon's details list 1500 W, which neither Vitamix document states. Product weight is 12 pounds on both Vitamix's page and Amazon.
Vitamix's page gives the cord as 3 feet. The manual says to use a grounded outlet and never an adapter, extension cord, timer or switched outlet, and to unwind the cord fully before use, so the blender needs a suitable outlet within 3 feet.
Controls, timer and container run limits
The manual describes a Start/Stop switch, a Pulse control, a Variable Speed Dial from 1, slowest, to 10, highest, and a timer that counts up. Vitamix's page also lists the digital timer, and the listing's bullets name variable speed, Pulse and the digital timer.
The manual says each container is programmed with a specific maximum run time and that the blender shuts down automatically when that time has elapsed. Vitamix's page describes this as the motor base adjusting maximum blending times for the container size, through what it calls built-in wireless connectivity. The listing's description says the same, that SELF-DETECT adjusts program settings and maximum blend times.
If the motor overheats, the manual says to let it cool for 20 to 45 minutes. It also says not to use the tamper for more than 30 consecutive seconds, and not with the container more than two-thirds full.
Which containers work with the Venturist Pro
The manual says Vitamix SELF-DETECT containers work with the Venturist Pro, and Vitamix's page lists its compatibility as the Ascent and Venturist Series. The manual also says the 20-ounce cup can be used with the Venturist Pro motor base.
The manual names what does not fit: Legacy containers, which it identifies as C Series and G Series, and the Vitamix Personal Cup Adapter will not work with the Venturist Pro motor base. If you own older Vitamix containers, check which series they are before planning to reuse them.
For the 20-ounce cup, the manual sets limits: never use it to heat ingredients or blend hot liquids, never run it continuously for more than 75 seconds, and never put it in the microwave. The manual gives the low-profile tamper as about 11 inches, the tall 64-ounce tamper as about 12.5 inches and the 48 and 32-ounce tamper as about 9.75 inches.
Cleaning: container can go in the dishwasher
The manual says the container can be cleaned with its normal cleaning procedure or a dishwasher cycle, without removing the retainer nut or blade assembly. Its normal cleaning is warm water and a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid, run up to speed 10 for 30 to 60 seconds, then rinsed. The listing's description gives the self-clean as about 60 seconds at the highest speed.
The lids, lid plug, centering pad and tamper are all dishwasher safe according to the manual. The motor base is wiped with a damp cloth and must never be put in water, and the manual says never to let the blade soak.
The manual also includes optional sanitizing procedures. Follow the manual's own instructions for those. The container must not be exposed to temperatures or ingredients over 210 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Full 5-Year Reconditioned Machine Warranty
The manual's Full 5-Year Reconditioned Machine Warranty runs for 5 years from the earlier of purchase or delivery, for the owner in personal household use. It covers failures from defects in material or workmanship or from normal wear and tear in ordinary household use. Vitamix says it will repair within 30 days of receiving the machine, or replace the machine or refund the full purchase price if it cannot be repaired.
Vitamix provides a return authorization, a prepaid pickup label and pays standard shipping both ways; the listing describes it as a 5-year full warranty covering parts, labor and return shipping both ways. Exclusions include commercial or non-household use, cosmetic changes, and use not in line with the manual. Abuse, misuse, alteration, repair by anyone other than Vitamix or an authorized provider, or use with an unauthorized motor base or container void it.
Registration is encouraged but not required, and proof of purchase is asked for only if the machine is not registered. If ownership changes, the manual asks for the owner details to be updated with Vitamix. All of these terms are Vitamix's for its Certified Reconditioned machine; confirm with the seller that they apply to your unit.
