Fit and limits

Strengths

  • One-piece top with a wide 24.6 to 50.4 inch range
  • Collision detection sensitivity can be set or switched off
  • Maker page links the same frame manual the listing supplies

Caveats

  • 220 lb rating conflicts with a 154 lb overload code
  • Assembly needs your own drill, screwdriver and level
  • Warranty terms are only a website badge, not printed in the manual

A dual motor frame and a one-piece 60 by 24 top, sold as one kit

DESK-KIT-2B6B is the black top, black frame, 60 by 24 inch version of VIVO's 2B Solid Top Series. VIVO's product page lists it among the series' colour and size variants, and the two manuals attached to the Amazon listing show what is inside: a DESK-V103E dual motor frame and a DESK-TOP60 series table top.

VIVO's specification block gives the top as 59 by 23.6 inches and 1.1 inches thick, made of particle board. The Amazon bullets describe the top as one piece, which fits the single-panel top sheet we read, and say two people are needed for assembly.

Height range, stages and presets from the maker page

VIVO lists the 2B6B height range as 24.6 to 50.4 inches, the same figures the Amazon listing uses. The frame is described as dual motor with three-stage columns, with a stated lift speed of 38 millimetres per second and a power input of 100 to 240 volts. The frame manual itself does not print a height range, so check the display once it is built.

The controller has three memory keys. VIVO's specification line says three memory settings, but a feature blurb lower on the same product page says you can program four. The manual and the specification both show three, so plan on three.

The weight rating and the overload code do not match

The VIVO product page, the Amazon listing and the frame manual's hardware page all give a weight capacity of 220 pounds, or 100 kilograms. The troubleshooting table in the same frame manual describes the E20 overload warning as appearing when the desk's 154 pound, 70 kilogram capacity has been exceeded.

Neither document explains the gap between 220 and 154 pounds. If you plan heavy monitors, a desktop computer or a monitor arm stack, ask VIVO support which figure applies to lifting before you load the desk, and keep well under the lower number until you have an answer in writing.

Collision sensing can be set, and one code tells you it stopped

The manual's programming menu lets you set collision force detection to off, low, normal or heavy. The E02 code means the desk detected vibration, collision or incline and stopped moving, so clear the obstruction before moving it again.

The manual includes a reset procedure. Other codes cover over and under voltage (E31 and E32), uneven legs (E60) and an E10 fault listed alongside them. The manual also switches the display between inches and centimetres from the same menu.

Assembly needs a drill, and the motor has a duty limit

The frame manual lists a Phillips screwdriver, a power drill and a level as tools you supply. The frame is assembled and set to your top's width before being screwed to the underside along with the control panel and power block, in the manual's step order.

VIVO's top sheet says the top is pre-drilled for most two-leg VIVO frames but not all, and that mounting screws come with the frame, not the top. For non-matching holes the frame manual gives 0.40 inch deep pilot holes with a 1/8 inch bit. The HOT code appears after five minutes of continuous motor running; wait at least fifteen minutes.

Warranty and return terms sit on the website, not in the manual

The frame manual does not print warranty terms. It sends you to the product's listing on VIVO's website for current warranty details, and the 2B Solid Top Series page shows a three-year warranty badge without further conditions. The Amazon details table only says the warranty type is limited.

The manual asks you to report damaged, defective or missing parts within 30 days of delivery for free replacement, and describes a 30-day return, with return shipping at the buyer's expense for items ordered in error or no longer needed. The manual also prohibits outdoor use and damp environments.
