A low-step commuter on 26-inch road tyres

The C1 Xpress ST is Aipas's step-through commuter with an 1100W rear hub motor, 90 Nm of torque, a Shimano seven-speed drivetrain, a 100 mm front fork, dual disc brakes and 26-inch tyres. Aipas describes a die-cast alloy frame with electrophoretic rust-proofing.

Tyre size is given as 26 by 2.0 inches on Aipas's page and 26 by 1.95 inches on the listing, and Amazon's frame field says carbon steel where Aipas says alloy. The listing's included-components field names a battery key, rear rack, fender, lights, horn, charger, toolkit and manual; Aipas's box list names the charger, headlight, two battery keys, pedals, toolkit and manual, with the rack and fenders shown as a store promotion.

This Amazon listing offers both the C1 and the C2. The selected variant we read is the Aipas C1, and this page covers only that model. Aipas's product page links the C1 PRO manual as the user manual for this bike, and its store codes the C1 Xpress ST as a PRO variant.

Fit: an 18-inch stand height for riders 5 foot 1 and up

Aipas's FAQ and the listing recommend riders from 5 foot 1 to 6 foot 5. Aipas's geometry table gives an 18-inch stand height, a seat-to-floor height of 30 to 41 inches and a 44-inch wheelbase. Amazon's minimum user height field reads 51 inches, which does not match the 5 foot 1 recommendation.

Riders near the lower end should compare their inseam with the 30-inch minimum seat-to-floor figure. The listing describes an adjustable fork; the step-through frame is the main fit feature Aipas offers.

Weight is 57 pounds net with a 6-pound battery on Aipas's page, 64 pounds in the listing bullet and 63 pounds in Amazon's item weight field. Aipas's page lists overall dimensions of 72 by 26 by 41 inches, while its geometry table gives a 66-inch total length.

Certificate data versus the marketed figures

Aipas links SGS certificate of compliance SGSNA/25/SZ/00488, effective 10 November 2025, issued to AIPAS BIKE LLC under ANSI/CAN/UL 2849. It names models C1, C1 PRO, C1 MAX, C2, C2 PRO and C2 MAX, with technical data of 48V and 12.8Ah, which matches the C1's battery, and says certification is valid when the product appears in SGS's directory.

The same technical data give a maximum speed of 32 km/h, about 20 mph, and a maximum load of 85 kg, about 187 pounds. Aipas's page, the manual and the listing give 28 mph and 400 pounds. The certificate's operating range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. We report both and do not explain the gap.

The listing words it as tested by SGS to UL 2849. If certification matters to your landlord, building or insurer, ask Aipas in writing whether the certificate covers the C1 at the speed and load you intend, and check the SGS directory.

614Wh battery, 62-mile claim and a 4-6 hour charge

The removable, lockable 48V 12.8Ah battery is about 614Wh, which the listing rounds to 615Wh. It is rated IP65, and Aipas links an SGS UL 2271 battery report. Aipas, the manual and the listing claim up to 62 miles with pedal assist; Aipas's table gives 36 miles electric-only.

The manual lists a 48V charger and four to six hours of charging; Aipas's page describes a 2A smart charger. Tyre pressure is 23 to 25 psi in the manual and 30 psi on Aipas's page, so ask Aipas which it recommends.

The manual's legal warranty adds a performance disclaimer: listed range and top speed are estimates, not guarantees. Plan on the 36-mile electric-only figure rather than the pedal-assist headline.

Speed and class

Aipas says the C1 reaches 28 mph and climbs a 20-degree gradient, and the listing repeats 28 mph and 20 degrees. The certificate lists 32 km/h. None of the sources read assigns the C1 a US e-bike class, so check your local rules before riding at the higher assist levels on shared paths.

The listing describes a headlight, rear turn signals, an electric horn and five assist levels, and the manual's specification table confirms an electric horn. Aipas's page lists a 2A charger and the 100 mm fork.

One-year warranty for the registered purchaser

The manual's legal warranty covers the original registered purchaser for one year from purchase and is non-transferable; the listing and product page also describe a one-year warranty, and Aipas's FAQ says returns can be requested within 14 days of delivery.

The battery is not covered for power surges, third-party chargers, improper maintenance, normal wear or water damage including rust, and the warranty page lists wear items separately. Exposure to very wet, hot or cold conditions may void the warranty.

Shipping damage must be reported within 14 days of arrival. Replacement parts ship only after photographic evidence and only within the continental United States, and warranty return shipping, duties and taxes are the claimant's cost.
