The long drink list lives in the app, not the machine

The touch display described in the Bosch manual is organised into three areas: Favorites for saved drinks with personal settings, Classics for the standard beverages, and coffeeWorld, which the manual describes as a wider selection you choose from the Home Connect app. The manual never states a total number of drinks.

That matters because the listing advertises thirty-six drinks and Bosch's own product page for this model also states thirty-six beverages available, alongside a claim of more than thirty-five drink options. If the machine is never connected, the practical menu is whatever sits under Classics plus your own favorites, and Home Connect services are described as unavailable in some countries.

Bosch's product page does confirm two things the manual leaves open: thirty user profiles can be created, and a coffee pot function brews up to 25.4 ounces at once, matching the insulated jug in the manual's accessory list. The cold brew mentioned in the listing title appears in none of the manual pages or the product-page text we read, so treat that one as unconfirmed.

doubleShot and two cups at once are mutually exclusive

The manual explains doubleShot and tripleShot as the machine grinding and brewing two or three times for one drink, and says which one applies depends on the beverage strength and size you select. It gives no further explanation of why the machine works that way.

There is a direct trade-off. The manual states that when doubleShot or tripleShot is active, dispensing two cups at once is not possible. So the strongest settings and the double-cup button cannot be used together, which is worth knowing if two people want strong coffee at the same moment.

The double-cup route itself is also a two-stage process. The manual says the drink is prepared in two steps with the beans ground in two grinding operations, with cups placed left and right under the beverage dispenser, so it is not instant either.

Milk comes from a container or a carton adapter

Milk drinks require either the supplied milk container filled with milk or the milk adapter with its hose placed in a carton, and the manual says neither can be connected unless the milk system is fitted with its adapter and tube in the beverage dispenser cover. The package-contents list marks the milk container and its adapter as depending on appliance specifications.

After a milk drink, the manual says the milk system cleans itself automatically with a short jet of steam. It also warns that if the milk system has not been cleaned, small amounts of milk may escape when hot water is dispensed, so the automatic rinse does not remove the need to wash the container.

On what you can pour in, the manual is direct: creamers are not to be used, plant-based alternatives such as soy milk are allowed, and the quality of the froth depends on the milk or alternative chosen. The milk container is described as intended only for storing milk in the refrigerator and in the house.

The numbers Bosch publishes for this machine

The manual's technical specifications give 120 volts, 60 hertz, a 1,600-watt rating and a maximum static pump pressure of 19 bar, with a ceramic grinding unit. Tank capacity without the filter is 81 ounces, or 2.4 litres, and the bean container holds 11.3 ounces, about 320 grams. The power cord is roughly 39 inches.

For footprint the manual gives 15 inches high, about 13.9 wide and about 18.4 deep, with an empty weight of 20 pounds. The listing's table matches the dimensions closely and puts item weight at 22 pounds and the bean hopper at 11 ounces. Those are small gaps, but measure the gap under a wall cabinet because the bean container is filled from the top.

Grind is set with a rotary selector under a condition the manual states plainly: only while the grinder is actually running, and step by step. Counterclockwise is finer for light roasts and clockwise coarser for dark roasts, and the change only takes effect from the second cup onwards.

Cleaning rules, and a lockout if you ignore them

The manual asks for the drip tray and coffee dregs container to be cleaned and emptied every day, and for the milk container to be dismantled and cleaned regularly for hygiene. Dishwasher-safe parts are the drip tray with its plate, dregs container and mechanical fill level indicator, the milk system with adapter, and the milk container with lid, in a program that stays below 60 degrees Celsius.

Not dishwasher safe, by the same list: the water tank, its lid, the brewing unit and the beverage dispenser cover. The troubleshooting page has you check that the brewing unit is locked correctly with the red lever if the machine dispenses water but no coffee.

The care cycles are guided on the display and have one hard rule: cleaning tablets go in the tablet compartment and descaling tablets or other products must not. The manual also says that if the appliance has been locked, you can only operate it again once the descaling process has been carried out, so postponing a descale eventually stops the machine. Bosch rules out pure citric acid, vinegar-based agents and phosphoric-acid descalers.

Connectivity, data and warranty conditions

Home Connect can be switched off entirely at the appliance, and the manual notes that in networked standby the machine draws a maximum of 2 watts. Remote start is a separate toggle, and the manual says operating the machine at the appliance itself always takes priority over the app. Remote diagnostics only happens if you ask Customer Service for it and if it is offered in your country.

The manual lists what the machine sends on first registration to a network connected to the internet: a unique appliance identification including the Wi-Fi module's MAC address, the module's security certificate, current software and hardware versions, and whether it has previously been reset to factory settings. Detailed data-protection information is inside the app.

The warranty statement runs seven hundred and thirty days from original delivery, with a separate thirty-day cosmetic window and proof of purchase required. Bosch's product page states the same two-year term as ending at two years or seven thousand cups, whichever comes first. It applies to units bought new at retail from an authorized dealer and kept in the country of purchase in the United States or Canada.
