Nine Bar Basics product guide
Espressione Concierge Elite 8120DW Espresso Machine
Narrow counters and offices where seven inches of width is the constraint
The Concierge Elite is a bean-to-cup machine built around a seven-inch width, with one-touch espresso, lungo and ristretto, a hot-water button and a manual steam nozzle for milk. Volumes are programmable and three modes trade pre-brewing against speed and shut-off time. It takes whole beans only, wants the brewer removed and rinsed as part of daily cleaning, and runs a monthly self-clean with its own supplied agent.

Fit and limits
Strengths
- Seven-inch width suits counters where depth is easier than width
- Drink and hot-water volumes are programmable and remembered
- Brewer, drip trays, grounds container and steam nozzle all come apart for washing
Caveats
- Whole beans only, with no pre-ground bypass and oily beans ruled out
- Listing and maker sheet disagree on wattage and voltage
- Milk is entirely manual and must be frothed after the shot
Four buttons, and milk is still your job
The manual's control panel is short: power, espresso, lungo, ristretto, steam and hot water. Press a coffee button twice quickly and the machine makes a double. There is no latte or cappuccino preset and no milk carafe, so every milk drink is assembled by hand from a shot and a jug of steamed milk.
Steaming is manual too. The manual has you immerse the nozzle about two inches into a container of milk and swivel the container while the steam runs. Afterwards the nozzle cover unlocks and the metal tube separates, and both are washed with the supplied needle or brush.
There is an order of operations the manual is explicit about. Because the temperature of steam is higher than the temperature of espresso, it says the coffee should be prepared before the frothy milk, otherwise the espresso might be burnt. Follow this manual's order rather than habit.
A seven-inch machine, and two figures that disagree
The selling point here is width. The maker's product page and specification sheet both give the machine as seven inches wide by 15.6 deep and 12.4 high at 17.2 pounds, which is what makes it plausible on a narrow counter or in an office. The listing repeats those measurements.
Power is where the documents part company. The listing's table says 1,350 watts at 110 volts, while the maker's specification sheet says 120 volts and 1,235 watts. We are not guessing which is correct; check the rating plate on the machine, which the manual says must match your local supply.
That same specification sheet has an internal oddity worth flagging. Its title, file name and body all describe the Diamond White unit, but its model line reads 8120IB with the UPC that belongs to the black version, while the listing gives model 8120DW and a different UPC. Confirm the model code on the box rather than relying on either document alone.
Beans only, and a grinder rule you can damage
The manual is blunt about the hopper: coffee beans only, because ground coffee, instant coffee, caramelized coffee and any other object may damage the machine, and it adds in capitals never to use oily coffee beans. There is no pre-ground bypass on this machine, so a second decaf route means emptying the hopper.
Grind is adjusted by a knob inside the bean container, with dots marking fineness, and the manual carries a caution most owners will only read once: never make the adjustment when the grinder is not operating, because it may damage the grinder. Its troubleshooting page repeats that same warning.
The listing and the maker documents describe the grinder as stainless steel with five fineness settings and a noise figure of seventy decibels, and the hopper as holding four hundred grams. The manual also mentions an optional larger bean container accessory that doubles hopper capacity, so check which container came in your box.
Volumes and three power modes
Cup volume is programmable for espresso, lungo, ristretto and hot water anywhere from roughly half an ounce to 8.5 ounces, which the manual gives as fifteen to 250 millilitres. You start the drink, then press and hold the same button until the cup reaches the level you want.
Three operating modes change more than energy use. The manual's table shows that the default setting keeps the illumination light on, uses pre-brewing and shuts off after four hours; ECO mode drops the light, keeps pre-brewing and shuts off after two hours; and speed mode keeps the light, drops pre-brewing, and its auto shut-off row reads always on.
Pre-brewing is the interesting trade-off in that table. The manual describes it as moistening the grounds with a small amount of water before full extraction. Choosing speed mode for a faster cup means giving that step up.
Daily cleaning is hands-on, and monthly is a cycle
The daily routine takes the machine apart: empty and wash the external drip tray, slide out the internal drip tray and grounds container and wash them, then pull the service door, press the release knob and take the brewer out to rinse and dry it before refitting. Indicator icons tell you when the grounds container, brewer, tray or door is missing or wrong.
The steam nozzle also disassembles. The cover unlocks with a turn to the left and pulls down, the metal tube separates from it, and both are washed in warm running water with the supplied needle or brush used to clear the holes before reassembly.
Self-cleaning is a machine cycle rather than a wipe-down. The manual says to run it at least once a month, or more often with hard water, using one pack of the supplied cleaning agent in a full tank, and it warns in bold not to use vinegar or other cleaning agents because they may damage the appliance. The machine switches itself off when the cycle finishes.
Storage, limits and where support comes from
An empty system function drains the machine, and the manual recommends it before a long period of non-use, for frost protection and before handing the unit to a repair agent. After that the pump has to be primed again by holding the hot water button until a continuous stream comes from the steam nozzle.
Two operating limits are easy to trip. The manual says not to run the hot water function continuously for more than one full tank of water, and not to use an extension cord unless a competent authority has approved it. It is a household, indoor appliance, and the machine is not to be opened because there are no serviceable parts inside.
The listing states a one-year limited warranty, and neither maker document we read sets out a claims procedure for it. The maker's product page links a specification sheet, an instruction manual and a quick start guide, which are the documents to keep with the receipt. We have not used this machine and make no claim about its output, noise or longevity.
