What the B-D02L is and what arrives in the box

The B-D02L is a small purifier with a single combined filter cartridge. The listing is the white version, model number B-D02L, part number VES351. The manual's technical parameters page names the same model and gives a body of 180 by 180 by 292 millimetres and a net weight of 3.52 pounds.

It runs from an external adapter, not a mains cord built into the body: the manual lists a 24V 750mA supply and shows a DC socket on the base. The listing warns that the adapter is packed with the filter inside the bottom base cover, so open the base before you decide something is missing. It also reminds you to take the new filter out of its plastic bag, and the manual adds that the filter's protective film must come off before use.

MOOKA's own store sells two B-D02L product pages with the same description, one labelled No aromatherapy function. Neither the Amazon listing nor the manual mentions aromatherapy, so the listing does not tell you which of the two this is. If an aromatherapy feature matters to you, ask the seller which version ships before buying.

Room size: 1,076 square feet means one air change an hour

The title and MOOKA's page both lead with coverage up to 1,076 square feet. The listing's own details explain the figure: 6 air changes per hour in 215 square feet, or 1 air change per hour in 1,076 square feet. The large number is the one-air-change-an-hour case, not the six-change case.

No clean air delivery rate is given on the listing, on MOOKA's page or in the manual, and the manual does not state a room size at all. So the only planning figures available are the two air-change numbers on the listing. If you want the air in a room changed several times an hour, plan around the 215 square foot figure rather than the headline number.

Where it can go: 30 centimetres of clear air at the inlet

The manual's Getting Started page asks you not to block the air inlet or outlet, for example by placing items on the outlet or in front of the inlet closer than 30 centimetres. Measure that distance from the inlet before choosing a spot beside furniture, curtains or a wall.

The same page says not to use it in wet areas or in surroundings with high ambient temperature, and to stop foreign objects falling into the outlet on top. The safety tips add that the filter must be installed before you switch the unit on and that only a compatible adapter should be used. The full safeguards are in the manual and are worth reading before first use.

Filter changes: 3 to 6 months, and a twist-off base

The manual gives the multi-function filter a life of 3 to 6 months and says the fan speed indicator flashes when a change is due. The filter is one cylinder, 135 by 135 by 145 millimetres, combining a pre-filter, a HEPA layer and activated carbon. MOOKA's store describes the HEPA layer as H13.

To change it, switch off and unplug, turn the unit upside down, rotate the base cover counter-clockwise and lift the filter out. Refit the base clockwise until it is secure, then hold the fan speed button for three seconds to reset the filter counter. The listing names the replacement filter as its own Amazon item, and MOOKA's store sells it in white and yellow versions.

One MOOKA page gives two intervals. The replacement filter page recommends a change every 6 months in its bullets and says every 3 to 6 months further down. The manual and the Amazon listing both say 3 to 6 months. Check the fan speed indicator for the flashing change reminder the manual describes.

Controls, sleep mode and the power figure that does not match

The fan button cycles low, middle, high and sleep. Sleep drops to the lowest airflow and switches the lights off after 10 seconds, but the manual notes the timer cannot be used in sleep mode. The timer offers 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours and then shuts the purifier off. Holding Timer for five seconds locks the buttons, and holding it for three seconds unlocks them.

Holding the power button for three seconds toggles the internal night light. After a power cut the fan speed and backlight settings are kept, but a chosen timer is reset. The noise figure is 20 decibels on the listing and MOOKA's page and at most 20 dB(A) in the manual; MOOKA's page ties it to sleep mode.

Power draw is where the documents disagree. The manual's technical parameters give 16 watts of power consumption, while the Amazon details and MOOKA's store spec block both say 13 watts. The listing's dimensions also vary: 7.1 by 7.1 by 11.1 inches in one table and 3.94 by 7.7 by 3.94 inches in another, against the manual's 292 millimetre height. Neither document explains the difference, so ask MOOKA if the exact draw matters to you.

Troubleshooting, returns and the missing warranty

The manual's troubleshooting table is short. If odours persist, check the filter is fitted, ventilate the room before purifying, or replace the filter. If it is loud, check that the filter's protective film was removed or change the filter. Past that, the manual says to contact the authorized retailer.

Neither the manual nor the Amazon listing nor MOOKA's product page states a warranty term, and MOOKA's warranty page address returned not found. MOOKA's store refund policy gives 30 days to request a return of an unused item in original packaging with proof of purchase, with return shipping paid by the buyer, and that policy covers orders from MOOKA's own store. Keep your Amazon order details, and contact MOOKA support at the address in the manual if the unit fails.
