What the ES701 listing sells

This listing is model ES701 in stainless steel, the Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro Series. SharkNinja's own page uses the same model number and describes a four-in-one machine: espresso, drip coffee, rapid cold brew and an independent hot water system. It has a built-in conical burr grinder with 25 grind settings and a scale for weight-based dosing.

SharkNinja lists the box contents as a portafilter, XL milk jug, single basket, double basket, Luxe basket, cleaning brush, cleaning disc, descaling powder, cleaning tablets and a hard water testing kit. The listing's included components match that list. SharkNinja's page states a one-year limited warranty.

Tamping is assisted, not automatic

The listing calls the tamper integrated and mess-free, operated by a lever. SharkNinja's support article describes taking the portafilter out of the grinding cradle with the funnel still attached, pressing the assisted tamper inside the funnel on a solid level surface, and storing the tamper and funnel on the left side of the machine.

The same article says to tamp all espresso drinks and coffee drinks of 16 and 18 ounces, to stop grounds spilling over the portafilter edge, and for 6 to 14 ounce coffee drinks to simply shake the portafilter lightly to level the grounds. For a quad shot it says to tamp with the funnel on, then remove the funnel and tamp again.

Drinks, grind guidance and froth

The listing describes five espresso styles including single, double and quad shots plus ristretto and lungo, three drip coffee styles, two cold brew styles, and drip and cold brew sizes from 6 to 18 ounces. It calls the grind guidance Barista Assist.

The listing says the grind recommendation adapts based on the previous brew rather than being fixed. Milk is handled by the Dual Froth System Pro with an insulated steam wand and XL milk jug, and the listing names five froth presets: steamed milk, thin froth, thick froth, extra-thick froth and cold foam. SharkNinja's page adds that frothing is hands-free and works with dairy or plant-based milk.

Three different sets of dimensions

Measure carefully before buying, because the three sources disagree. The Amazon listing gives 13.39 inches deep, 12.48 wide and 14.84 high at 27.1 pounds. SharkNinja's product details panel gives 15.51 inches long by 15 wide by 19.33 high at 31.66 pounds. SharkNinja's own support answer gives 12.5 inches wide, 12.5 long and 14.75 high.

None of the sources explains the difference, and the largest set is nearly five inches taller than the smallest. Measure your counter and the clearance under any wall cabinet against the biggest figure, then confirm against the unit you actually receive.

Power, water and documentation

Both the listing and SharkNinja's product panel give 1,650 watts at 120 volts, and the listing gives a 68-ounce reservoir with a 250 gram bean hopper. A hard water testing kit is in SharkNinja's box list, alongside a cleaning brush, a cleaning disc, cleaning tablets and descaling powder.

The owner's guide lives on SharkNinja's support site as an article that says it supports the ES701 and ES701C; the guide document itself was not opened for this page. The 'Getting to Know' article read here states that it supports the ES701C, so check which model a given support page covers before following a detailed step.

What to expect in daily use

This is a hands-on machine with guidance rather than a push-button automatic: you fill the hopper, let it grind and dose by weight, tamp with the assisted tamper, lock in the portafilter and choose a drink. The cleaning disc, tablets and descaling powder in SharkNinja's box list all point to a regular maintenance routine.
