A pair of twist-handle dumbbells from 5 to 80 pounds

The NÜOBELL 580 is sold as a pair, and NÜO's FAQ says each purchase includes the two dumbbells with their cradles. Turning the handle selects a weight from 5 to 80 lb in 5 lb steps, which is sixteen settings per hand; the Amazon listing describes this as replacing 32 dumbbells, and NÜO as replacing 16 pairs.

NÜO's specifications list a net weight of 80 lb and a size of 485 mm long, 193 mm wide and 185 mm high, with an aluminum handle 105 mm long and 32 mm in diameter. They also note that the number shown on the handle can differ from the exact weight by up to 5 percent either way.

Handle material and brand fields differ on the listing

NÜO's product page and the listing's own highlight line describe a machined, knurled aluminum handle. Another bullet on the same listing calls it a steel-knurled handle and the details table lists stainless steel, so the listing contradicts itself; NÜO's specification says aluminum.

The listing's brand and manufacturer fields read FF Finer Form, and its part number FF-TB011399 appears in none of NÜO's documents read. The manual states that NÜO is not responsible for distributor representations and names an authorized reseller list, so check the seller against that list if warranty support matters to you.

Adjust only in the cradle, and never drop them

The manual says to change weight only while the dumbbell is fully seated in its cradle, not to use kick-up techniques, and to run the locking check it describes before lifting. Read that page before first use rather than relying on a summary, because the check itself is not reproduced here.

It also rules out push-ups on the handles, using the dumbbells as a support or lever, slamming, throwing or dropping them, and standing on them. They should not be stored vertically or carried in an unlocked state, and the manual asks for extra caution with overhead and face-level movements.

Where they can be used

The manual limits the NÜOBELL range to indoor, residential use: not outdoors, not in wet locations, and not in commercial, institutional or gym settings. NÜO's product page repeats that the warranty covers residential use only.

The manual asks for a clear workout space of 24 inches beyond the farthest reach of each exercise in every direction, and sets age and supervision rules. With the pair and their cradles on the floor, plan that clearance around where the dumbbells will be used.

Care and servicing

NÜO describes the mechanism as maintenance free, and the manual says the dumbbells are lubricated at the factory and need no further treatment. Clean them with a cloth lightly dampened with warm water and mild soap, then dry them.

The manual warns against solvents, harsh detergents, chemicals and bleach, and says owners should not service the dumbbells themselves because doing so ends warranty coverage. It also says not to force the handle and never to use a dumbbell without its full plate set in the cradle.

Warranty: two years, or four only when bought from NÜO

The Amazon listing advertises a four-year manufacturer warranty, and NÜO's product page shows a four-year badge. Its warranty panel, however, says the NÜOBELL comes with a two-year warranty plus a two-year extension only when bought directly from NÜO Athletics, and the manual gives two years for residential use from the date of purchase.

Under the manual, claims go to the store where you bought the dumbbells, with the original receipt, and the customer pays shipping for warranty replacements. NÜO's page excludes dropping or slamming damage, cosmetic wear and use against its recommendations, and the manual includes an arbitration agreement worth reading before purchase.
