The Petcube GPS Tracker is a 29 gram LTE locator in a glow-in-the-dark silicone case that fits collars up to 28 mm. It needs a Petcube plan. The guide gives default updates every 2 to 60 minutes and 5 to 15 seconds in Lost Pet mode, and up to 30 days of battery when power saving near trusted Wi-Fi, where it stops reporting positions.

A small LTE tracker that needs a Petcube plan
The Petcube GPS Tracker is a small locator that reports over LTE and uses GPS, GLONASS and Galileo plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for positioning, according to the user guide. It sits in a glow-in-the-dark silicone case; the listing says it fits any collar or harness, and the guide says it fits collar widths up to 28 millimetres.
The guide says that after setup the app will advise you to buy a plan, and that the tracker's firmware update installs once you open the map and buy one. Petcube's store page says to choose a plan after setup and shows Basic and Premium tiers, with 7 days of location history on Basic.
Petcube's page lists the box as the tracker, a charger and a quick start guide. The guide says the charger is a USB magnetic charger, and that the case stays on the collar while the tracker slides out to recharge.
How often it updates
The guide says that in default tracking mode the tracker detects a new position every 2 to 60 minutes depending on how active the pet is, and on average about every 10 minutes when the pet is moving. Updates can be as rare as once every several hours when the pet is asleep.
Lost Pet mode gives updates every 5 to 15 seconds per the guide, which calls it Lost Dog mode, and it switches itself off after 5 minutes of non-use unless you change that setting. The listing's bullet says updates every 3 to 5 seconds, a faster figure than the guide gives for any mode.
Virtual fences can be Safe Zones or No-Go Zones, and the guide says notifications go to you and to anyone you share the tracker with. Petcube's store page also lists virtual fences and location history among its features.
Battery life depends on Wi-Fi zones
Petcube gives up to 30 days on a charge, and both the guide and the store page tie that to power saving: the guide says using Power Saving Mode, and the page says with a Power Save Zone enabled. The listing adds that a full charge takes 60 minutes.
Power saving uses trusted Wi-Fi zones, up to five per tracker, which can be managed only within Bluetooth range. The guide says the tracker does not report positions while in Power Saving Mode, and Petcube's page lists a Wi-Fi network as a requirement for Power Saving Zones.
The guide says the lithium-ion polymer battery cannot be replaced or removed, and that 5V adapters with up to 2A output are safe for charging, while a 9V charger can damage the tracker.
Phone requirements differ by source
Petcube's store page lists iOS 14 or later, Android 7.1.2 or later and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The user guide lists iOS 15 or later and Android 6.0 or later.
The guide also says the app needs Bluetooth and location permissions on your phone. The tracker itself uses LTE, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, per the guide's connectivity list.
If your phone sits between these two sets of figures, ask Petcube which minimum applies before buying, since the page and the guide were both published by Petcube.
Size, water rating and light and sound
Petcube's page and the guide give the tracker as 60 by 25 by 20 millimetres and 29 grams. The listing's dimensions row says 2.13 by 2.39 by 3.22 inches and 2.08 ounces, which does not match the maker's figures.
The guide, the listing and the feature list at the top of Petcube's page say IP67. The tech specs block lower on the same page says IP68, along with 70 pounds of pull resistance. Ask Petcube which rating applies if water exposure matters.
The tracker has an LED light and a buzzer you trigger from the app; the guide says both run for 30 seconds by default, and that commands can take longer to arrive when the phone is out of Bluetooth range. It also notes the tracker might be too large or heavy for small or injured pets.
Warranty, returns and the status button
Petcube's store page states a 1-year limited warranty on the tracker and a 45-day money-back guarantee on its own store. Its plan table also lists a Lifetime Warranty as a plan benefit; we did not read the terms behind either line.
The guide describes the side button's light: green when the tracker is connected and red when it is still searching, and it notes that network registration is faster outside.
Keep the order record, and read Petcube's warranty and plan terms before relying on the Lifetime Warranty line in the plan table, since we have not seen what it covers.
