It is a fully automatic machine: it grinds, tamps and brews at a touch, with the LatteGo milk container handling milk automatically. The user manual attached to the listing is the shared 2300 and 3300 series book, which lists EP3341 among the types it covers.
Philips describes six drinks in one touch on its product page and five coffee recipes plus hot water in the same text. The listing title says five presets and its bullets say six, counting espresso, coffee, iced coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato and hot water. Treat the drink count as that menu rather than a fixed number.
How LatteGo works and what it needs
LatteGo is a milk container that the machine froths from automatically. The manual covers its assembly and says to use milk straight from the fridge. For cappuccino and latte macchiato the machine dispenses the milk first and the coffee second.
Cleaning is short but required after every use: the manual says to clean LatteGo after each drink, either under the tap or in the dishwasher. The listing's included-components field also names a LatteGo storage lid, which the manual pages we read do not describe.
Grinder settings and pre-ground coffee
The grinder has 12 settings. The manual advises against adjusting it until you have brewed roughly 100 to 150 cups, and says to turn it only while the grinder is running and never more than one notch at a time.
It also says to brew five coffees at the start so the machine can complete its own dose self-adjustment, and that two or three drinks are needed before a grind change is noticeable. Pre-ground coffee brews one cup at a time, has to be re-selected with a three-second press each time, and cannot be combined with an aroma strength choice.
The AquaClean filter and descaling
Philips says that by replacing the AquaClean filter when prompted you can go up to 5,000 cups without descaling; its own disclaimer bases that on eight filter replacements and says actual cups depend on drinks, rinsing and cleaning. Each new filter has to be activated by hand, since the machine cannot detect it on its own.
A filter stops working after 95 litres have passed through it, and the light turns orange and flashes as a reminder. If you let that light go out before changing the filter, the manual says the machine has to be descaled first. Descaling takes about 30 minutes, needs a 1.5 litre container, and the manual warns that some acid-based descalers can damage the water circuit and that skipping descaling voids the warranty.
Brew group and routine cleaning
The brew group is rinsed under the tap weekly, cleaned with a Philips coffee oil remover tablet monthly and lubricated with Philips grease every two months. The manual says to let it air-dry rather than wipe it, which is the only drying method it gives.
Other routine jobs: empty the grounds container when prompted and clean it weekly, with the front panel kept out of the dishwasher; empty the drip tray daily; rinse the water tank weekly; and clean the pre-ground compartment weekly. Set the water hardness at setup, since the default is the hardest setting.
Numbers and what the sources leave open
