The exact bag: Elevation Plus hardside, Carry-On PRO size
The listing sells the Elevation Plus hardside in Cypress Green, size Carry-On PRO, with model and part number 142910-1244. Samsonite's page for the Elevation Plus Hardside Carry-On PRO Spinner offers Cypress Green under item number 1429101244, so the maker page and the listing describe the same colour and size.
Samsonite builds the shell from polypropylene, which it describes as known for flexural strength and fatigue resistance. The case has a front QuickEntry pocket, a keyless TSA-approved lock, Fuzion zippers by YKK, and hubcapped wheels with nylon tires. The listing and maker page both say it carries a 10-year warranty.
Samsonite's page offers this size in Midnight Blue, Cypress Green and Triple Black, each with its own item number. If you buy a different colour from another seller, check that its item number also begins with 142910 before applying the specifications in this guide.
Laptop sleeve: 13 inches or 15 inches?
Samsonite's own page gives two answers. Its Tech Savvy feature panel says the QuickEntry pocket's air-mesh sleeves hold up to a 13-inch laptop, plus a removable Tecfolio zippered pouch. The Amazon listing bullet says the same 13-inch figure.
The Description section on the same Samsonite page says those sleeves hold up to a 15-inch standard size laptop and a 13-inch tablet. Both statements cannot describe the same sleeve, and neither page explains the difference. We cannot tell you which figure is correct.
If you intend to carry a laptop larger than 13 inches in the front pocket, confirm with Samsonite customer service or measure the sleeve in a store before relying on it. A 13-inch machine fits under either statement.
Weight: three different figures
Samsonite's Specifications table lists the weight as 9.4 pounds, and the listing bullet agrees. The descriptive feature text on the same Samsonite page gives 10.3 pounds. Amazon's details table gives a third figure of 6.39 pounds, which appears nowhere on the maker page.
If your airline limits the weight of a cabin bag, plan around the heavier maker figure of 10.3 pounds until Samsonite confirms otherwise. The gap between the two maker figures is close to a pound, and that difference comes out of any weight allowance you have.
Weigh the empty case at home when it arrives. That settles which figure applies to your bag and tells you how much room is left under any weight cap before you start packing.
Size and the interior layout
Samsonite lists the external dimensions as 23 inches high, 15 inches long and 10 inches wide, with a linear dimension of 48 inches, and the listing bullet gives the same 23 by 15 by 10 inches including wheels. Amazon's details table instead repeats the interior figure, 20.5 by 14.5 by 10 inches, as the item dimensions.
Inside, Samsonite describes two oversized packing compartments. The front side has a zippered divider with two zippered accessory pockets and one oversize WetPak pocket. The back side is a dedicated garment compartment closed by centre-split zippered wings with one compression strap and padded zipper pockets.
Samsonite's specification table marks the case as expandable but neither Samsonite nor the listing states by how much. Samsonite also says carry-on size and weight allowances vary by airline, so check the 23-inch height against the limit for your carrier and fare.
Handle, lock and AirTag holder
The RightHeight handle adjusts in one-inch increments, according to Samsonite, and has an extended-width TPR comfort grip. Neither the maker page nor the listing gives the minimum or maximum handle height, so taller travellers should check it in person if that matters.
Samsonite describes a keyless TSA-approved lock. The listing adds an integrated AirTag holder and states that the AirTag itself is not included. Samsonite places the holder behind the front compartment zipper divider, which means it sits inside the case rather than on the outside.
Samsonite says the interior lining is made with 100% recycled PET plastic, and the listing calls it Recyclex fabric. Samsonite also states it offers repair services in about 70 countries, which is relevant if a wheel or handle fails outside the warranty's terms.
Warranty: ten years for defects, not for airline damage
Samsonite's page names a Limited 10 Year Global Warranty. Its warranty page says that covers manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for ten years from purchase, for the first purchaser or gift recipient, and that Samsonite chooses whether to fix or replace the product.
The warranty excludes misuse, neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids and water, normal wear and tear, and transport damage such as damage by airlines. Warranty repairs must be done at an approved Samsonite service centre, and improper repairs void it.
For purchases in California on or after July 1, 2023, Samsonite says the warranty starts on the delivery date. Keep your order record and use the product registration offered on Samsonite's warranty page.
