The Amazon title calls this the Virtuosa Hardside 21 Inch Carry On. Samsonite's specification table for the Virtuosa Carry-On Spinner gives external dimensions of 23 inches high, 15 inches long and 10 inches wide, and a linear dimension of 48 inches. The listing's own bullet and details table also give 23 inches high.

The 21-inch label therefore does not describe the outside height of the case. Use the 23 by 15 by 10 inch figure when comparing with an airline's published carry-on limit, and treat the listing title's airline-approved wording as the seller's claim rather than a guarantee.

Samsonite gives the interior as 20.5 by 14.5 by 10 inches, and the listing bullet repeats that interior figure. Amazon's table adds a capacity of 3,450 cubic inches and 56.54 litres, figures that do not appear on the Samsonite page we read.

Which Virtuosa this is

The listing sells the Off White colour in the Carry-on Spinner size, with model and part number 149176. Samsonite's Virtuosa Carry-On Spinner page uses the same 149176 item family and offers Pine Green, Navy, Off White and Merlot.

Samsonite describes polycarbonate construction with PU accents, and the listing description calls them leather-like accents. The maker's feature panel says Virtuosa is part of a matching range that includes a train case, backpack and duffel, which are sold separately.

Samsonite lists the weight as 6.4 pounds and Amazon's table gives 6.39 pounds, so the two sources agree. Amazon's table also says water repellent; the Samsonite page we read makes no water-resistance claim, and the warranty excludes water damage.

Samsonite lists a zippered storage compartment and a WetPak pocket to keep items organised, plus PU-accented compression straps. Its feature panel adds multiple interior zip pockets, a wet pack for cosmetics and a lay-flat compression strap.

Neither Samsonite nor the listing gives the handle's lowest and highest positions, the wheel size, or whether the 10-inch external width includes the one-inch expansion. If any of those decides the purchase for you, ask Samsonite customer service or look at the case in a store before ordering.

Warranty: ten years, defects only

The Virtuosa page names a Limited 10 Year Global Warranty. Samsonite's warranty page says that covers manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for ten years from purchase, for the first purchaser or gift recipient, with Samsonite choosing whether to fix or replace the product.

It excludes misuse, neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids and water, normal wear and tear, and transport damage such as damage by airlines. Only manufacturing defects in material and workmanship are covered.

Warranty repairs must be done by an approved Samsonite service centre, and improper repairs void the warranty. For purchases in California on or after July 1, 2023, Samsonite says the warranty starts on the delivery date. Register the product on Samsonite's warranty page.
