Which SENIX saw this is
The listing gives model and manufacturer part number CSX6-M1 with UPC 843212100515, and names the manufacturer as Zhejiang YAT Electrical Appliance. SENIX's own product page sells SKU CSX6-M1 as the X6 60V Max 18-inch Cordless Chainsaw, and its product data carries the same 843212100515 barcode.
SENIX's manual covers two models: CSX6-M with a 16-inch bar and CSX6-M1 with an 18-inch bar. This listing is the 18-inch CSX6-M1. The manual's warranty section names YAT USA Inc. in Huntersville, North Carolina, as the contact for SENIX support.
The saw runs on SENIX's X6 60V Max battery platform, and the listing says the battery works with all SENIX X6 tools. The manual gives the nominal voltage as 56 V and includes an explanation of the 60V Max label.
What the kit includes
SENIX's product page lists the kit contents as the 60V Max X6 chainsaw, an 18-inch Oregon Speedcut Nano bar and chain, a 60V 4.0 Ah battery and a 3.0 amp charger. The listing's included components field names a battery and charger.
The manual's scope-of-delivery list for the saw itself names the chain saw, saw chain, guide bar, guide bar cover, oil storage plate and instruction manual, and notes that the scope of delivery varies by country and purchased variant. Neither document lists bar and chain oil in the box.
The manual says it is essential to fill the tank with bar and chain oil before use. SENIX gives the oil tank capacity as 8.8 ounces (260 ml), and both documents describe an automatic oiler.
Bar, chain and motor specifications
For the CSX6-M1, the manual names an Oregon guide bar, model 184BXNA041, and an Oregon saw chain, model 80TXL070X, with 0.325-inch low-profile pitch. SENIX's product page gives the same pitch and an 18-inch (46 cm) bar and chain length; the manual gives 18 inches as 45 cm.
Both SENIX documents give 1,800 W rated output, no-load speed of up to 11,000 RPM in ECO mode and 14,000 RPM at maximum, and chain speed of 20 m/s in ECO and 26 m/s at maximum. The listing and product page also express the top speed as 85 feet per second.
The control panel shows battery level, a chain kickback brake warning light and an ECO indicator, according to the manual. SENIX's page describes a tool-free twist-dial chain tensioner, an automatic oiler and a chain brake it says engages when kickback is detected.
Weight and figures that differ
The manual and SENIX's specs give the tool-only weight as 9 lb (4.1 kg), and SENIX lists the dimensions as 18.1 by 8.7 by 10.2 inches. The listing uses the same dimensions but gives an item weight of 16 pounds without saying whether the battery is included.
Runtime claims differ. SENIX's product page says the brushless motor gives 25 percent longer runtime than brushed motors, while the listing says it extends runtime by 30 percent. SENIX's page also gives a 68 dB figure. These are marketing claims we have not measured.
The manual gives a recommended operating range of 5 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and a storage range of minus 4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit for the saw.
Care, overheating and storage
The manual describes overheat protection and says to let the saw cool for about five minutes before restarting. Its troubleshooting table also lists overcurrent protection as a reason the saw stops.
For cleaning, the manual calls for a soft, dry cloth on the housing and a mild soap solution where needed, rules out harsh cleaners and solvents, and asks you to keep the bar groove and the area under the side cover clean.
The manual recommends having the chain sharpened by an authorised service centre. For storage it asks you to fit the bar cover and oil storage plate, keep the saw in a dry place away from children and pets, and use the original package or a cover against dust.
Warranty: the manual and product page
The manual gives a five-year limited warranty on the tool from the date of original purchase, with free repair or replacement and proof of purchase required. It gives the included battery pack and charger three years of replacement-only coverage.
SENIX's product overview and the listing's bullets also describe five years on the tool and three years on the battery and charger. The product page's own Specs panel, its feature list and the listing's warranty field say 3 years.
The manual voids the warranty for commercial, professional or rental use, excludes accident, abuse, wear items and repairs by anyone other than SENIX authorised agents, and makes transport costs the owner's responsibility. It also offers a 60-day money-back guarantee with the original receipt.
