Shorter, but wider: the shape is the whole point
Travelpro's Dimensions panel gives the overall size, including wheels and carry handles, as 21.75 inches high by 15.75 inches wide by 7.75 inches deep. The case body alone is 19 by 15 by 7.75 inches. The listing bullet gives the same two sets of figures, and the listing title calls this the 19-inch size.
Travelpro's FAQ says this model is for travellers who mostly fly airlines with shorter carry-on height limits, and it warns about the trade-off directly: the bag is shorter but slightly wider, not smaller in every direction. If a carrier you use limits width strictly, the 15.75-inch figure is the one to check.
The size selector on the same Travelpro page shows this bag as 22 by 16 by 8 inches, which is a rounded-up version of the Dimensions panel. Amazon's Measurements table gives only 15 by 7.75 by 19 inches, the case body. Compare the Dimensions panel's overall figure with the published limit of each airline you actually fly.
Capacity, weight and what the maker claims about fit
Volume is 39 litres according to Travelpro's Dimensions panel, the listing bullet and Amazon's table. Weight is 7.7 pounds on all three. Travelpro's size selector suggests three to five days of packing for this bag, which is the maker's own estimate rather than a measured figure.
Travelpro states that the bag has been sizer-bin tested for overhead bin space on most major US airlines, and its FAQ says it can serve as a domestic US carry-on as well. The description also says it is designed to adhere to carry-on requirements for most international airlines. These are Travelpro's claims and have not been checked here against any airline.
The zippered expansion adds up to two inches of packing depth. Travelpro describes it as tapered and tip-resistant, and warns that a fully expanded carry-on may not meet airline restrictions. Its FAQ suggests boarding with the bag unexpanded where a sizer is enforced and keeping the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
Built-in TSA lock and the handle
This model has an integrated lock. Travelpro's feature block describes a built-in TSA lock that lets TSA authorities unlock and relock the case for inspection, and gives the default code as 0-0-0. The listing bullet and Amazon's table agree that a TSA lock is fitted, so on this point the documents are consistent.
Travelpro's page publishes the factory code but, as read, does not describe how to change it. Follow the instructions supplied with the bag or ask Travelpro rather than guessing at the sequence.
The PowerScope handle is airline-grade aluminium with four stops at 36, 38, 40 and 42.5 inches, according to Travelpro. Carry handles are on the top and side in leather, plus a bottom handle cup, and Travelpro describes ergonomic palm pads on the handle.
Wheels, fabric and the USB port question
Travelpro describes the PrecisionGlide system as eight MagnaTrac self-aligning spinner wheels. Amazon's Features & Specs table records four wheels, and the listing bullet calls them dual spinner wheels. Rely on the maker's description when you read the wheel count.
The exterior is high-density nylon with a DuraGuard coating that Travelpro says resists stains and abrasions, and the ECOFAB lining is made from recycled plastic bottles and treated with H2O Guard. Amazon's Materials table lists the material as polyester, 1680 denier, which does not match Travelpro's nylon description; ask Travelpro if the fabric matters to you.
Travelpro's own page is inconsistent about the ports. The long product description mentions an external USB-A port, while the feature block on the same page and the listing bullet describe USB-A and USB-C ports with published outputs. Both say the power bank is not included, so the ports only work with a battery you supply.
Inside the bag
Travelpro lists a removable quart-size wet pocket that it describes as TSA compliant, and the listing adds a deluxe tie-down system with accessory pockets. Travelpro says the dedicated power bank pocket adheres to FAA regulations; check your airline's own spare-battery rules before flying with one fitted.
Amazon's table counts six pockets and two handles, while Travelpro describes top, side and bottom carry options. Neither the listing nor Travelpro gives a maximum load for the bag, so treat the 39-litre volume as the only capacity figure published.
Travelpro says SUPRA zipper heads are engineered to resist damage from frequent use. It also describes genuine leather and chrome zippers. Travelpro's FAQ includes cleaning directions for the fabric, and you should read those on Travelpro's own page rather than here.
Warranty, airline-damage cover and the trial
Travelpro's Built for a Lifetime Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship on four named components: wheels, zippers, extension handles and carrying handles. The warranty panel on the product page limits this to defects that negatively impact the bag's functional performance, and the remedy is repair or replacement at Travelpro's discretion.
The Trusted Companion Promise adds repair of damage caused by an airline or other common carrier in the country of purchase, plus shipping to a Travelpro repair facility. Travelpro's duration table gives Platinum Elite Softside luggage this cover for as long as the original purchaser or gift recipient owns it, activated by registering within 120 days of delivery or gift receipt.
Claims start with an online repair request that includes photos and proof of purchase or registration, according to Travelpro's FAQ, or a visit to an authorised repair centre. Travelpro also describes a 100-day trial with full refund and covered return shipping; the page does not say whether that applies to purchases from other sellers.
