What the B6630 is
The listing gives item model number and part number B6630, and Chamberlain's product page sells B6630 as a 1 HP belt drive opener with battery backup, built-in camera and myQ connectivity. The installation manual linked from that page covers four LED belt drive models: B6830, B6850, B6630 and B6650. It says the model number label is on the left side panel of the opener.
Chamberlain's specs list a DC motor with soft start and stop, belt drive, a single integrated LED light rated at 1,000 lumens, battery backup, video, smartphone control and myQ compatibility. Chamberlain and the listing both note that the 1 HP figure is for comparison only, describing lift capacity similar to a 1 HP AC motor.
The manual marks the opener for residential use only, and its warranty excludes units installed for non-residential use. It also says the opener is compatible with Security+ 3.0 and myQ, and that a pre-programmed remote is included.
What comes in the box
Chamberlain's What's Included panel lists a 3-button remote, a motion-detecting control panel (Security+ 3.0) and the battery backup system's battery. The listing's included components field says 2x remotes plus the video garage door opener with battery backup, so the number of remotes differs between the two.
The manual lists extra items you may need depending on your garage: two pieces of 2x4 wood, a support bracket and fastening hardware for a finished ceiling, extension brackets or wood blocks, door reinforcement for lightweight steel, aluminium, fibreglass or glass panel doors, and a rail extension kit for doors taller than 7 feet.
Chamberlain says the opener works with Security+ 3.0 accessories and HomeLink 4 and up, is not compatible with Security+ 2.0 accessories, and notes that most older accessories are not compatible. Check any remotes or keypads you already own against that list.
Camera, Wi-Fi and the myQ app
Chamberlain's page describes a 360-degree camera with an adjustable wide-angle view and full night vision, while its specs list an adjustable 130-degree wide-angle camera; the page does not reconcile the two. The manual says the camera powers up when the door opens and down when it closes, with an LED that shows its status.
For app control the manual calls for a 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi signal in the garage, a broadband connection, your router's main network password rather than a guest network, and the myQ serial number on the opener. It suggests checking signal strength with your phone where the opener will hang before installing.
The manual says connected openers receive software updates. We did not read myQ subscription terms, so check the app for any paid features before you rely on camera recording.
Battery backup: what still works in an outage
According to the manual, a fully charged battery supplies 12 V DC for up to 24 hours during a power outage, takes 24 hours to charge, and lasts approximately 1 to 2 years with normal use. The replacement part it names is Chamberlain G4228.
On battery power the opener may run slower, and the manual says the lights, the myQ app, the camera and unattended close features such as Timer-to-Close are unavailable. The manual pages read do not list which controls remain in use on battery, so ask Chamberlain if that matters to you.
The manual asks you to test the battery backup every year and consider replacing the battery. It also recommends disconnecting the battery if the opener will be unplugged for a long period.
Door checks and the sectional-door rule
The manual states that Timer-to-Close, the myQ app and other unattended close devices are to be used only with sectional doors, and says not to install on a one-piece door if you plan to use those features. So on a one-piece door, the manual rules out unattended closing.
Before installing, the manual asks you to confirm the door is balanced and does not bind, and says any gap under the door must not exceed 1/4 inch. It directs you to a trained door systems technician for an unbalanced door and warns never to adjust springs or cables yourself. It also requires a 120 V, 60 Hz supply.

Warranty terms, and one blank to ask about
Chamberlain's product page lists 5 years on parts, 10 years on the motor, 10 years on the belt and 1 year on accessories. The manual's warranty table for B6630 matches those terms and adds 1 year for the integrated LED and 1 year for the camera.
In that same table the battery backup column shows a dash for B6630, while B6650 and B6850 show one year. Because the listing and product page both describe B6630 with battery backup, ask Chamberlain what coverage applies to the battery before relying on it.
The warranty goes to the first retail purchaser for the home where it is first installed. It requires following the installation, maintenance and testing instructions, excludes improper installation, non-residential use, door hardware problems and interference, and leaves removal and reinstallation costs to you.
