Genie's QuietLift Connect pairs a three-quarter HPc DC motor with a belt drive on a five-piece rail, and has Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi built in rather than bolted on. It is rated for doors up to seven feet and 500 pounds, ships without bulbs or a battery backup, and cannot be shipped to California.

What the 3053-TKV is, and what is actually in the box
The 3053-TKV is Genie's QuietLift Connect: a DC-motor belt drive opener that the company rates at three-quarter HPc and builds on a five-piece tube rail which snaps together without added hardware. Genie's own product page gives the part number as 39626S and the UPC as 050049021450, and the Amazon listing shows the same two numbers.
The listing's included-components field lists the opener, two pre-programmed remotes, a wireless keyless keypad, a wall control with an independent light button and a vacation lock, the Safe-T-Beam safety sensors, mounting hardware, batteries and printed instructions. Light bulbs are not on that list, and Genie's page says plainly that lightbulbs are not included with this opener.
The number of buttons on the supplied remotes is not consistent across the sources. Genie's product page and the Amazon bullet both describe two pre-programmed three-button remotes, while the Amazon product description and the included-components field both say two-button remotes. We did not find a document that settles it, so ask Genie or the seller which pair ships today.
Seven-foot doors as sold; eight feet needs a separate kit
Genie states that the three-quarter HPc DC motor will lift a sectional garage door up to seven feet in height and up to 500 pounds in weight. The Amazon bullet repeats both of those figures and adds that an eight-foot-tall door can be handled only with an additional extension kit, which is sold separately.
Genie's product page names that kit as part number 39026R for eight-foot high residential garage doors. The owner's manual's replacement-parts pages confirm 39026R as the tube-rail extension kit for belt drive and list 39027R as the chain-drive equivalent, so the kit has to be ordered for the drive type you own.
Measure the door before ordering anything. The same parts pages list different belt-and-bullet assemblies, carriage assemblies and emergency release cords for seven, eight, nine and ten-foot doors, so door height decides several components rather than just the length of rail above your head.
No battery backup here, and Genie will not ship it to California
Neither Genie's product page nor the listing's included-components field shows a battery backup with this opener. Genie's page carries a notice that, as of 1 July 2019, the item cannot be shipped to the state of California under Senate Bill No. 969, and that any order with a California shipping address will be cancelled.
The Amazon product description repeats the same point, telling buyers that California residents must have a battery backup system included and to search for a Genie battery backup separately. If you are buying for a California address, this particular configuration is not the one to order.
The manual does document backup hardware for units that come with it: a 12-volt, 5Ah sealed lead-acid battery, Genie part 111658.0002.S, which it says should charge for 48 hours before you test it. It also warns that the opener runs at a reduced speed on battery power and that the work light does not operate in backup mode.
Aladdin Connect is built in, and the manual has a signal test
Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi is integrated into this opener rather than added as a separate bridge. Genie's page describes Aladdin Connect as integrated into this opener, and the manual has its own pages on the app.
The manual's Aladdin Connect pages list the app features in the maker's own words: customized access for different users, notifications tied to a specific user, time or day, a usage history showing when the opener ran and by whom, and custom rules that can alert you or close the door after it has been open for a set duration.
Run the manual's check before you buy. It asks you to connect your phone to home Wi-Fi, stand where the opener will be mounted, and confirm at least two bars of signal, before you commit to a mounting point. Neither the Genie page nor the manual pages we read mentions any subscription for these app features.
Installation is electrical and mechanical work with stated limits
The manual requires a grounded outlet and says never to use an extension cord. It tells you to check local building codes for any requirement of a permanent hard-wired connection, and states that such a connection must be performed by a licensed electrician with proper tools.
It also says not to install the opener on an improperly balanced door, and that repairs and adjustments to cables, spring assemblies and other door hardware must be made by a trained service person. The maintenance table's monthly door-balance test sends a door that opens or closes rapidly to a trained door system technician rather than to you.
Mounting heights are specified too: install the opener seven feet or more above the floor where possible, mount the emergency release within reach but at least six feet above the floor, and locate the wall control within sight of the door and at least five feet up. The Safe-T-Beam sensors must be fitted as well, and the manual notes they only affect the door's downward travel.
Bulbs, upkeep, and a warranty that only one source spells out
Because bulbs are not supplied, the manual's limits matter when you shop: A19 size only, no short-neck bulbs, 60 watts maximum in incandescent, CFL or LED equivalent, and at least 40 watts equivalent on integrated Aladdin Connect models like this one. It warns that ordinary LED bulbs may reduce remote range. The maintenance table then asks for a monthly contact-reverse test, monthly lubrication of rollers and hinges, a monthly Safe-T-Beam check, a monthly door-balance check and a yearly look at belt slack, with CR2032 cells in the remotes.
Genie's own family manual 38967503545 carries a warranty page that names model 3053 directly: limited lifetime on the motor and gearbox, fifteen years on the belt for belt drive products, five years on core unit parts, and one year on accessories and on parts outside the core unit. Core unit there means the power head, wired wall control, Safe-T-Beam system, J-Arm and rail.
Read the conditions, because they are narrow. Limited lifetime means only as long as the original purchaser owns the home where the opener was first installed, the warranty is not transferable, labor charges are excluded, and residential use is required. It also excludes batteries, use of an extension cord, missing or damaged parts from clearance or open-box sales, and any repair or maintenance to the door itself.
