The FLYBIRD DB2 is a pair of rotating-dial dumbbells, each set by twisting the handle to 15, 25, 35, 45 or 55 pounds. The listing option read here is the 55LB Pair, and the maker page offers it as 55LBS, set of 2, with an FAQ answer confirming the set is two dumbbells.
Flybird's own web address now redirects to FED Fitness, whose product page sells this model as the FED Fitness Flybird Series DB2 Quick Adjustable Dumbbell 55LBS. That page links the user manual we read. The manual's cover says Adjustable Dumbbell Set 25 / 55lbs and does not print the DB2 name.
The steps are 10 pounds apart, so there are five settings per hand and nothing in between. The maker lists eight plates per dumbbell, a plate diameter of about 7.7 inches and a one-inch handle diameter, and it states the product does not support iFIT.
The dial only turns on the tray, and the click matters
The manual's rule is plain: do not turn the weight selection dial when the dumbbell or handle is lifted from the tray. Amazon's bullet describes the same design, saying weight can only be adjusted on the base and the handle locks once lifted.
To choose a weight, turn the handlegrip to the number you want. The manual says to make sure you hear a click before picking the dumbbell up, and to lift only when each segment has clicked into place and the handle is parallel to the scale mark.
When plates are returned to the tray, the manual says they should sit evenly in the same groove on both sides. If the dial sticks, the maker's FAQ says to check the dumbbell is on a stable surface with nothing blocking the dial, turn it exactly to a weight position without forcing it, then contact customer service.
Size, shipping and what arrives
Both the listing and the maker page give each dumbbell as 19 inches long, 8.5 wide and 8 high. Neither source says whether the tray is counted in those figures, so measure the floor or rack space for a pair and ask the seller if the fit is tight.
The manual lists the included parts as the handlegrip, the dumbbell tray and the dumbbell plates. Amazon's bullet says the set ships in two separate packages, which is worth remembering when only one parcel turns up on the delivery date.
The maker's FAQ says the tray is usually sold separately as an accessory and tells you to contact customer service about it. If the weight shown does not match the actual load, it says to check the dumbbell is seated correctly back on the tray.
Weight and material figures disagree between sources
The maker's specification table gives each dumbbell's item weight as 26.4 kilograms, or 58 pounds, and the set as 116.4 pounds, above the 55-pound top setting. Amazon's item details give 27.5 pounds. Neither source explains its figure, so treat the shipped weight as unconfirmed.
The same table names the model Lark Select, while the page title, the manual link and the Amazon listing all say DB2. We are not going to guess why; if the model name matters for a warranty claim, confirm it with the seller when you order.
Materials are described differently too. Amazon calls the handle textured rubber, while the maker page says the bar is coated with TPE, the plates are carbon steel coated with nylon, and the tray is polypropylene.
Care and the manual's limits
The manual is short. It asks you to repair or replace parts that show wear, loose screws or rust so that everything stays in good condition, and it says to keep pets and children away from the dumbbells, with a minimum user age of 15.
Its remaining pages are an exercise diagram and a general training suggestion. The safety page also carries health warnings and a minimum user age; read them in the manual itself rather than relying on any summary of them.
The manual includes no cleaning schedule, no storage temperature and no load or drop rules beyond the tray and click instructions. If you need any of those, ask the seller in writing before relying on the set for a particular use.
Warranty: one year on the maker page, two on the listing
Amazon's final bullet says the set is backed by a two-year warranty and 24-hour online customer service. The FED Fitness product page lists a one-year warranty, lifetime technical support and a 30-day money-back guarantee. The manual gives no warranty length at all.
We are not going to pick one. Ask the seller in writing which term applies to a DB2 pair bought through this listing, and keep the answer with your order confirmation, especially because the two sources also disagree on the model name.
The manual's closing notice says to contact the seller about problems such as damaged parts or missing screws, and that they can help by return, replacement or repair. It does not set out exclusions, a claim window or proof-of-purchase rules.
