A switch-select pair that runs from 5 to 60 pounds
REP sells the QuickDraw as a pair in 30, 40, 50 or 60 lb maximum sizes, all starting at 5 lb per dumbbell. This listing's selected style is the 5 to 60 lb pair, and Amazon gives its item weight as 60 lb with dimensions of 20.6 by 8.45 inches, matching the cradle size in REP's tech specs.
Weight is set with Lock-N-Load steel switches rather than a dial: REP gives 10 lb steps by switch. REP says the switches are cycle-tested more than 100,000 times, and the Amazon listing adds that there is no internal gearing.
How the 2.5 lb micro plates set the steps
REP includes two 2.5 lb micro-adjustment plates. Fitting one on each side turns the 10 lb switch steps into 5 lb steps, and fitting only one gives a 2.5 lb step, which REP notes leaves a small imbalance.
Smaller sets can grow later. REP says a 5 to 30 lb pair can be expanded to a 40, 50 or 60 lb maximum by buying add-on plates and removing built-in spacers from the cradle, so starting light does not rule out the full 60 lb later.
Dumbbell length grows with the weight
REP's tech specs list each dumbbell at 12.2 inches long in the 30 lb size, 14.3 inches at 40 lb, 16.4 inches at 50 lb and 18.5 inches at 60 lb. The cradle is 20.6 inches long, 8.45 inches wide and 4.7 inches tall, or 7.9 inches with the dumbbell seated.
The handle is 32 mm in diameter and 5.4 inches long, shrinking to 4.9 inches with the 2.5 lb add-ons fitted. Plates are 7.3 inches across and an empty cradle weighs 4.64 lb. REP sells storage options such as a cart and a stand separately.
Build and changing weight away from the cradle
REP describes almost all-steel construction with nylon composite accents, a nickel-plated steel handle and two powder-coated steel support rods, and the dumbbell has a flat bottom. The Amazon listing adds a 32 mm volcano-pattern knurl on the handle.
REP says weight can be changed without the cradle by setting the dumbbell down and flipping switches. It also notes that the dumbbells may not be completely silent when they are in use.
Drop guidance from REP
REP says the QuickDraw is drop-tested from flat and angled positions and is designed to withstand occasional drops, but warns that repeated drops and abuse can break it. If a drop cannot be avoided, REP recommends landing it as flat as possible because edge drops put the most stress on the dumbbell.
REP's general warranty terms say damage from negligent use, maintenance or storage, such as storing equipment outside, can void coverage, and that products modified or repaired outside REP lose warranty coverage. Keep the pair indoors.
Warranty: lifetime for the original purchaser
REP's warranty table lists the QuickDraw adjustable dumbbell with a lifetime warranty, and its FAQ says this covers defects in material, functionality and workmanship for the life of the product. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
Excluded are normal wear such as scratches, dents and rust, abusive or consistent dropping, negligence, accidents and use contrary to REP's user manual. REP replaces warrantied products at its own discretion. No QuickDraw user manual was linked from the product page, so request one from REP if it is missing from the box.
