ELEGOO Centauri 2 3D Printer
PLA, PETG, PLA-CF and TPU on a 256 mm build volume
A printer with a 256 mm cube build volume, a 350C brass-hardened steel nozzle, a 110C bed and full-auto calibration. ELEGOO lists the camera, air filter, lighting and exhaust grille as optional expansions, and its own table marks ABS, ASA, PA and PC as not recommended.

Fit and limits
Strengths
- Full-auto calibration, clog detection and runout sensing included
- Native TPU support on the standalone printer, per ELEGOO
- Listing and ELEGOO agree on size and weight
Caveats
- Camera, air filter, lighting and exhaust grille are add-ons only

- No warranty term or noise figure found in the sources we read
What this listing is: the printer without CANVAS
This is the standalone Centauri 2, not the Combo. The listing's model field is simply Centauri 2, and ELEGOO's product page says the CANVAS feeder is sold separately. In ELEGOO's own two-column specification table, the CANVAS feature rows are left blank for this printer, so multicolour feeding is not part of this listing.
The listing's box contents are the printer, touchscreen, spool holder assembly, power cord, unclogging pin, user manual, USB flash drive, nozzle wiper, screwdriver, Allen key and a filament sample. ELEGOO's own box list adds a filament runout sensor cable, a scraper blade and a spare heatbed nozzle wiper.
The listing gives the printer as 15.91 by 15.67 by 19.29 inches and 30.1 pounds. That lines up with the 398 by 404 by 490 millimetre machine size in the manual and on the product page, and with the 13.7 kilogram net weight on the product page, so the listing and ELEGOO agree on size.
Several features are add-ons, not included
This is the point most worth checking before you buy. ELEGOO's specification table lists the camera, LED lighting, the air filter and the smart exhaust grille as optional expansions for the Centauri 2, marked with a dash rather than yes. None of those appear in the listing's box contents either.
The listing's bullets mention monitoring the printer remotely through the ELEGOO Matrix app. With no camera included, check what that monitoring covers on this model before relying on it; neither source we read spells out what the app shows without the optional camera.
What is included is the sensing package. The table marks full-auto calibration, a filament runout sensor, clog detection, automatic filament unloading, a fan self-check, part cooling fan drop detection and power loss recovery as yes. The product page describes 15 sensors in total.
Filaments: ELEGOO's own recommended list is short
The listing leads with a 350 degree Celsius nozzle, which the manual and product page both confirm, along with a 110 degree heated bed that the product page qualifies at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees. A high nozzle ceiling does not translate into a wide material list here.
ELEGOO's table lists the ideal filaments for the Centauri 2 as PLA, PETG, PLA-CF and TPU. It lists ABS and ABS-CF, ASA and ASA-CF, PET and PET-CF, PETG-CF, PA and PA-CF, and PC as not recommended. If you plan to print engineering materials, the maker's own table points away from this model.
The nozzle is brass-hardened steel at 0.4 millimetres on a dual-gear direct extruder, and filament diameter is 1.75 millimetres. ELEGOO notes that TPU is natively supported on the Centauri 2; on the Combo version it needs a flexible filament adapter and the CANVAS cable disconnected, which does not apply to this listing.
Speed, levelling and the build plate
Build volume is 256 by 256 by 256 millimetres on a 260 by 260 millimetre platform, with printing accuracy of plus or minus 0.1 millimetres. Printing speed is up to 500 mm/s with 250 mm/s recommended, and acceleration defaults to 10,000 mm/s squared with a 20,000 maximum, so the listing's 500 mm/s and 20,000 figures are the table's maximums.
Bed levelling is listed as 121-point auto-levelling with a partial levelling option. The product page describes four-point auto-levelling or partial levelling of the print area only, and claims that cuts setup time by up to 75 percent, without saying what it is compared against. The two descriptions differ, so ask ELEGOO which levelling routine this model runs; the page also lists an automatic Z offset.
The build plate is a dual-sided spring steel sheet with a textured PEI side and a PLA-specific side. Layer thickness runs from 0.1 to 0.4 millimetres with 0.2 recommended. The frame is described as die-cast aluminium with metal linear guides, and the Z axis uses three lead screws and three linear guide rods.
Power, room conditions and software
The manual's specification page gives input of 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz and rated power of 350 watts at 110 volts or 1,100 watts at 220 volts. Ambient temperature is listed as 5 to 40 degrees Celsius in both the manual and on the product page.
Connectivity is a USB flash drive and Wi-Fi. The manual names ElegooSlicer, and the product page also names Orca and Cura. Input formats are STL, OBJ, 3MF and STEP, with G-code output. The printer runs ELEGOO OS on a 5-inch colour capacitive touchscreen with eight interface languages.
The manual's contents list sections for printer installation, filament loading, first print, ElegooSlicer and LAN network printing. We read only the contents and specification pages, so this guide does not describe the setup steps; the manual attached to the listing is where to find them.
What we could not confirm
No warranty document was read for this model, and the attached manual was not readable as text beyond the contents and specification pages we rendered, so no coverage term is stated here. Confirm coverage with ELEGOO or the seller before buying.
Neither source we read gives an operating noise figure for the Centauri 2. Because the air filter and exhaust grille are listed as optional expansions, do not assume any filtration comes in the box; ask ELEGOO what each add-on includes.
The listing's bullets promise automatic calibration and pre-print checks, and ELEGOO's table marks full-auto calibration as yes. Neither source we read gives a setup time for a first print, so treat that as unknown.
