Printer plus CANVAS, and how big the pair is
This listing is the Combo: the Centauri Carbon 2 printer with ELEGOO's CANVAS four-spool feeder, which the listing credits with four-colour printing, automatic refill and tangle detection. ELEGOO's own product page says the CANVAS is sold separately for the standalone printer, so the Combo is the version that includes it in the box.
The Combo manual gives a machine size of 500 by 480 by 743 millimetres and a net weight of 19.35 kilograms. The listing's 29.3 inch height and 42.6 pound weight line up with those figures. ELEGOO's product page gives the printer by itself as 398 by 404 by 490 millimetres and 17.5 kilograms, so plan your shelf around the Combo figures rather than the printer-only ones.
The listing's box contents include the touchscreen, power cord, 4-pin cable, USB flash drive, four spool holder modules, a filament hub, the CANVAS mounting bracket, a thermal cover, four PTFE tubes, a tool kit, a filament sample and a spare nozzle wiper. The listing gives the item model number as US-EL-3DF-CC2C; that code does not appear in the ELEGOO documents we read, which name the product Centauri Carbon 2 Combo.
The core specifications ELEGOO publishes
Build volume is 256 by 256 by 256 millimetres on a 260 by 260 millimetre platform, with printing accuracy of plus or minus 0.1 millimetres. The nozzle is listed as brass-hardened steel at 0.4 millimetres, fed by a dual-gear direct extruder, with a titanium heat break. Layer thickness runs from 0.1 to 0.4 millimetres, with 0.2 recommended.
The maximum nozzle temperature is 350 degrees Celsius. The heated bed reaches 110 degrees, a figure the manual and the product page both give. Printing speed is up to 500 mm/s with 250 mm/s recommended, and acceleration defaults to 10,000 mm/s squared with a maximum of 20,000.
ELEGOO's table gives 500 mm/s as a maximum and 250 mm/s as its recommended speed, and the listing's headline uses the maximum. Bed levelling is listed as 121-point auto-levelling, and the product page also lists an automatic Z offset and a semi-automatic belt tensioner.
Filament tiers and the enclosed chamber
ELEGOO sorts filaments into three tiers. Ideal: PLA, PETG, TPU and PLA-CF. Superior: ABS and ABS-CF, ASA and ASA-CF, PET and PET-CF, PETG-CF, PC and PA. Capable: PPS, PPS-CF and PPS-GF, and PPA-CF and PPA-GF. Filament diameter is 1.75 millimetres.
The chamber is enclosed, with what ELEGOO calls a smart exhaust grille, and the product page lists a grille check among its sensors. Neither the product page nor the manual gives a chamber temperature figure or describes active chamber heating, so do not assume one.
Filtration is listed as HEPA plus coconut shell activated carbon. The front is a glass door with shatter-proof film. The listing makes no separate claim about which of these filaments the CANVAS itself can feed, and neither ELEGOO source we read lists CANVAS filament restrictions.
Loading the CANVAS: RFID or manual entry
The manual shows the CANVAS with an RFID reader, and its filament loading pages cover registering RFID-tagged spools at that reader and feeding each spool through its own numbered holder and inlet. Follow those pages when you load it; this guide does not repeat the sequence.
Spools without RFID tags need their brand, type and colour entered by hand, and the manual says tagged spools can also be registered manually. It also tells you to seat each spool against the retaining edge of its holder when loading.
Installing the CANVAS is part of setup. The manual's assembly pages cover a mounting bracket, spool holder brackets fixed to the side panel with supplied screws, a 4-pin cable from the back of the printer to the CANVAS, and a thermal cover with an extension piece. Allow time for that assembly before a first print.
Noise, power, siting and software
ELEGOO lists operating sound at 45 dB or less, and its footnote says the figure comes from ELEGOO's own lab, tested with ELEGOO PLA in Silent Mode with the auxiliary part cooling fan turned off, and ELEGOO gives no figure for other modes. Rated power is 350 watts at 110 volts and 1,100 watts at 220 volts, on 100 to 240 volt input.
The manual gives an ambient temperature range of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius, warns against vibrating or unstable surfaces, and requires the machine to be properly grounded. It lists regular cleaning of the body and cooling fans with the power off, and lubricating the Z-axis lead screws as needed.
Connectivity is USB drive and Wi-Fi, and the manual describes LAN printing from ElegooSlicer once printer and computer share a network. Input formats are STL, OBJ, 3MF and STEP, and the product page lists ElegooSlicer, Orca and Cura. A camera, clog detection, runout sensor and power loss recovery are all listed as yes.
Warranty wording and what we did not read
The manual's warranty statement says ELEGOO printers are covered from the date of receipt, that warranty periods for different components may vary, and that details are on ELEGOO's refund policy page. It excludes problems caused by self-disassembly and improper use, and wear and tear of the housing.
We did not read that refund policy page, so this guide cannot tell you how long any part is covered. Because the manual itself says periods vary by component, check the CANVAS and the printer separately before relying on coverage.
The manual also notes that each unit is test-printed before shipping and that minor surface scratches may be visible on arrival, which ELEGOO describes as normal. The listing's promise that you can load, tap print and walk away is the listing's own wording; neither ELEGOO source we read gives a setup time for the Combo.
